Alfred Suarez
May 13, 1933 — Oct 21, 2026
Alfred Suarez, 93, of Tampa, passed away on October 21, 2026. He was born on May 13, 1933, in Tampa, Florida.
His parents were proud immigrants: his father from Spain and his mother from Cuba. They came to the United States in 1899 and settled in Ybor City.
Upon graduation from Hillsborough High School in 1951, Alfred proudly served his country in the Army and was sent to the front lines in Korea. Upon completion of his military service, he became a court reporter on the G.I. Bill and enjoyed that profession for over 50 years in Tampa. He was a guitarist and loved music and golf.
He is survived by his three children: Al (Samantha Ward) Suarez, Terry (Don) Hall, and Jake Suarez; two grandchildren: Jake Hall and Alec (Taylor) Suarez; and two great-grandchildren: Sebastian Hall and Adelynn Suarez. He is also survived by his nephew, Angel Portugues II, and nieces Margaret Portugues and Sandra Mooney, all of Tampa, Florida.
He had two great loves in his life: Arline D’Amico and Linda Nunez.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life on November 8, 2026.
