Dean Moon

It is with a heavy heart, and great sadness, that we announce the death of Dean M. Moon, 88, of Sun City Center, Florida, on Friday, April 28, 2017. He was born in Annawan, Illinois, and moved to Florida from Rockford, Illinois, in 1982. Dean was a successful realtor in both Rockford and the Naples area in Florida. He was an avid sports fan; excelling at basketball and football in high school, and was a loyal fan of the Chicago Bulls, Chicago Cubs, and Florida Gators. Dean was a true family man, and his favorite pastime was being with his family, especially his nine grandsons and four greatgrandchildren. To know Dean was to love Dean. He had a heart of gold and will be dearly missed by many. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, George and Oka Moon. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Doris Moon; daughters, Gaylene Doyle (Ed) of St. Charles, IL, Kristy Lewandowski (Mike) of Riverview, FL, and Kim Drell (Mike) of Glen Ellyn, IL; grandchildren Joshua Doyle (Jessica), Zach Doyle, Eric Lewandowski (Amanda), Matt Lewandowski, Keven Lewandowski, Craig Lewandowski, Kyle Drell, Connor Drell, and Nick Drell; great-grandchildren Jackson Doyle, Ethan Doyle, Adam Lewandowski, and Avery Lewandowski; brothers, Dale Moon (Shirley), Dwaine Moon (Beverlee), and Darrell Moon (Beverly).
