In Loving Memory of Georgia Lefthand

April 23, 1963 – July 27, 2026

With profound sadness and immense love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Nana, sister, aunt, and friend, Georgia Lefthand, who entered into eternal rest on July 27, 2026, at the age of 63.

Born on April 23, 1963, in Detroit, Michigan, Georgia was raised in a large and loving family surrounded by many brothers and sisters. Among those who will forever cherish her memory are her beloved sisters, Cindy and Vicki, along with her many other siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Georgia later made her home in Tampa, Florida, where she met the love of her life, Dan Cunningham, in historic Ybor City. Together they built a life rooted in love, faith, and family, raising their two children, John Lefthand and Audrey Cunningham. Dan preceded Georgia in death, and later their beloved son, John Lefthand, passed away at the age of 33. Georgia also endured the heartbreaking loss of her precious granddaughter, Olivia Higuera Cunningham. Though these losses weighed heavily on her heart, her unwavering faith in God carried her through life’s greatest trials.

Georgia was a devoted mother and Nana whose greatest joy came from caring for others. She owned and operated a licensed daycare from her home, lovingly caring for countless children and treating each one as if they were her own. She also worked other jobs throughout her life, always demonstrating incredible strength, determination, and an unmatched work ethic. No matter how hard she worked, she always found time to help someone in need.

She is lovingly survived by her devoted daughter, Audrey Cunningham; her cherished grandchildren, Ashtyn Miller, Avree Miller, Adalaya Jasak, Buddy, and Kyle; her beloved sisters, Cindy and Vicki; her many brothers and sisters; and a large extended family of relatives and dear friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Above all else, Georgia was a woman of deep and unwavering faith. She loved God with all her heart and lived her life according to His teachings. She believed in doing what was right, showing kindness to everyone, being honest, and loving others without condition. She had the rare gift of giving freely, never expecting anything in return. She truly would give the shirt off her back to help anyone in need.

To know Georgia was to experience genuine love, compassion, and acceptance. She had the kindest heart, the sweetest smile, and the most beautiful soul. Her warmth made everyone feel welcome, valued, and loved. Her legacy is one of generosity, faith, selflessness, and unconditional love.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Georgia has been reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Dan Cunningham; her beloved son, John Lefthand; and her precious granddaughter, Olivia Higuera Cunningham. We take peace in knowing she now rests in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, whom she faithfully served throughout her life.

Georgia’s love will continue to live on through her family, through every life she touched, and through every act of kindness inspired by her example. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and never forgotten.
