Jack Wayne Basil, Jr.

Jack Wayne Basil Jr., affectionately known as “JR,” passed away on July 21, 2026, at the age of 39.

JR proudly served his country in the United States military, an honor that reflected his willingness to serve something greater than himself. His service was a meaningful chapter of his life, and his family is forever grateful for his dedication and sacrifice.

He will be remembered for his quiet strength, loyal heart, and the deep love he had for those closest to him. Though he often preferred a simple life, those who knew JR knew his unwavering loyalty and the unique spirit he brought into the lives of others. His memory will live on through the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love that remains.

JR is survived by his mother, Pamela Carney; his brothers, Rickie Basil and Raoul Trudell; along with extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Though his time with us was far too short, JR’s life will be remembered not for the circumstances of his passing, but for the years he lived, the people he loved, and the difference he made in their lives.
