Carole Louise Pedersen
Feb 1, 1950 — Jul 2, 2026
Carole Louise Pedersen passed away on July 2, 2026, in Olympia, Washington, at the age of 76. Born on February 1, 1950, in Chehalis, Washington, Carole lived a life marked by devotion to her family, steady care for others, and the kind of warmth that made people feel at home. She went home to Jesus with her sister Debbie and her grandson Brandon by her side.
In June of 1970, Carole married Frank Pedersen, who preceded her in death. Their marriage was an important part of her life, and she also carried the deep love of family through the years as a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and caregiver.
Carole attended Beauty School in Seattle, Washington. After college, she went on to Massage School and became a massage therapist. She built her own massage business, but after several years she laid that work aside in order to help care for her grandson Ryan, a role she faithfully embraced for several years. Caring for those she loved was not simply something Carole did; it was part of who she was. She had a caregiver’s heart and also devoted herself to caring for her grandma Flossie, as well as her mother and father.
She will also be remembered for the special touches that brought joy to family gatherings and community tables. Carole was famous for her homemade noodles, which never lasted long at any potluck or get-together. She took great pride in sharing them, along with her cinnamon rolls and popcorn balls, all made with the love and generosity that people came to expect from her.
Carole is survived by her son, Shane Pedersen; her sister, Debbie Berg and her brothers, Douglas Anderson and Harold Anderson. She leaves behind family who knew her as a woman of deep love, service, and strength, and her memory will remain a lasting blessing in their lives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Pedersen; her daughter, Danielle Pedersen; her father and mother, Don Anderson and Louvena Senn; her brother, Gene Anderson; and her grandsons, Ryan and Kyle.
A Celebration of Life for Carole will be held on September 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Doty Fire Hall, 116 Fowler Road, Doty, Washington 98539. The gathering will be a potluck, fitting for someone whose food and fellowship meant so much to the people around her.
Carole Louise Pedersen will be remembered with love for her faithful heart, her caring hands, and the comfort she gave so freely. Her life was a gift to her family and friends, and her memory will be cherished always.
