David Jerry Bonsall

David Jerry Bonsall, age 69, of Centralia, WA, died August 5, 2026, in an Olympia, WA hospital. He was born September 20, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, IA to Richard and Anna Mae(Klinsky) Bonsall. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1974. He attended Iowa State University where he received a degree in mechanical engineering. He owned an engineering firm, McGrath, Inc. in St. Louis, MO for many years. He married Amy Kortenhof in 1985. They later divorced. After retiring he moved to Centralia, WA to be near his daughter and her family. He was a skilled carpenter, an avid reader, enjoyed doing puzzles and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter Jessica Hoarn and her husband Nathan, grandson Judah, granddaughter Nolan, two sisters Kim Bonsall of Centralia, WA and Sarah Beal of Monticello, IA and two nephews Joshua and Matthew Beal.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
