James Benjamin Sanders

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James "Pete" B. Sanders, who left this world on March 18, 2026, in Aberdeen, Washington. Born on June 3, 1953, in Whitewater, Wisconsin, Pete was a dedicated family man, fiercely loyal to his loved ones.

Pete is survived by a loving family that includes his sons, James Sanders Jr., Billy D. Sanders, and Hirum Sanders; his daughters, Crystal Merriman and Brandy; and his brothers, Dan, Richard, and Jeffery (Sam) Ceciel. He will also be remembered by his cherished sisters, Carmalita, Rita, and Mechelle, as well as by his 14 grandchildren who brought him immense joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Barbara (Griffith) Sanders, his brothers Clarence and Kelly, and his son Jeremey.

Throughout his life, Pete dedicated himself to his work as a laborer and scraper, where he took pride in every task he undertook. Beyond his professional life, he found solace and happiness in his passions—working on cars and fishing, always with the hope of adventure ahead. His love for travel enriched his experiences, allowing him to create lasting memories.

Family was at the heart of who Pete was, and he cherished every moment spent with them. His loyalty was fierce, and his sense of humor often brought laughter to those around him, lighting up even the darkest of days.

A private Celebration of Life will be held by his family, honoring the memories and stories that encapsulate his spirit and love.

In honoring the life of James "Pete" B. Sanders, we acknowledge a man whose legacy will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
