Ronald Carl Davis
Jul 9, 1945 — Mar 8, 2026
"Ronald Carl Davis passed away on March 8, 2026.
Ronald was born in 1945 in Bremerton, Washington, to Edward and Eleanor Davis. At the age of 13, he won the Jr. Golden Glove Championship in Tacoma, Washington, and as an adult, went on to race at the Olympia Tenino Speedway. He worked various jobs throughout his life, including at Simpson Mill, Boeing, and the Department of Fisheries, before spending over 20 years as a carpenter supervisor at the State of Washington GA Building.
His hobbies included fishing, carpentry, and working on his old GM truck. He also loved spending time with his children, taking drives with his wife, and enjoying a quick beer at the local tavern. While he was loving and kind, he was also quite the grump, and we miss that grumpiness. We will deeply miss his stories, jokes, laugh, smile, and how ornery he could be at times. In the end, he remained gracious to everyone. He is now reunited with his parents, wife, both brothers, sister Darlene and his oldest son, Daniel. He leaves behind a legacy of good humor.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Davis (2021); his parents, Edward (1999) and Eleanor (2018) ; his sister, Darlene (1975); his brothers, Eddie (2026) and Chester (2020); and his son, Daniel Davis (2018).
He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Sue Davis of Lacey, Washington; his son, Oliver William Davis of Olympia, Washington; his grandchildren, Tyson Davis, Jacob Davis, Shelby Davis, Charles Snook, Dana Davis, and Oliver Jr. As well as various nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
A special thank you to Assured Hospice for their care"
