Ruth A. Roath

Ruth A. Roath, 76, of Lakewood, Washington, passed away peacefully in her home on August 28, 2026.

Ruth was born on February 18, 1950, to Ruth Wendelin Mikkelsen and Albert Leroy Simmonds. She came from a large family and was the tenth of thirteen children, growing up alongside her twelve siblings.

Ruth was a devoted mother whose family was an important part of her life. She is survived by her three children: her eldest daughter, Melissa; her middle daughter, Michelle; and her youngest child and son, Carl Jr.

Ruth spent her final moments in the comfort and familiarity of her own home in Lakewood, Washington. Her life touched those who knew and loved her, and the memories she created with her family will remain with them for generations.

She was also survived by her long term boyfriend of 28 years, Lloyd Tomlin. Tom and Ruth were soulmates and spent 3 decades sharing their love together.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children, her siblings, her extended family, and all those whose lives she touched.

May Ruth rest in peace, surrounded by the love she gave and the memories she leaves behind.
