Arthur "Art" Oster
September 18, 1938 — April 14, 2026
Art was born in Centralia Washington, one of 10 children to Christian and Rosina Oster. He grew up on Logan street and a graduate from Centralia High School.
Art was in the Navy from 1956-1959, than later became a fire Captain of a fire station on Fort Lewis. He met the Love of his life, Earlene Allison at the Roller Dome in Centralia, followed by dancing at Playquatos Dance hall. Art and Earlene celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary March 26th 2026.They had four children, Julie (Lee), Jon (Denise), Rich, Steve (Shay), and they had many grandchildren and many many great grandchildren. He enjoyed dancing, summers spent at Deep Lake Resort, Millersylvania State Park, BBQ’s and time spent with family and friends. They also took lots and lots of road trips especially down the Oregon and California coast. Art and Earlene spent their retirement years traveling back and forth to Yuma Arizona where they spent 5 months out of the year.
Art was a loving and devoted husband and fiercely protective over his Family. He is very much loved and will be missed greatly. He was also a God fearing man who loved the Lord. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7 We will carry You Forever in our Hearts. Sleep peacefully until we see each other again. We Love You
