David Paul Carey

Dave Carey, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026, at the age of 77 in Olympia Washington. Born on May 3, 1949, to Paul and Jeri Carey, Dave brought warmth, laughter, and a humorous spirit to everyone who knew him.

Dave’s greatest joy was his family. He was married to Murl Carey for 52 years. His legacy lives on through his children, Kristine Nisco and her husband Tony, and Brad Carey and his wife Barbara. Dave was also the ultimate proud grandfather–a title he worn with immense joy. He will be deeply missed by his three grandchildren: Nicholas Nisco, Lilly Carey, and Lachlan Carey.

Dave lived fully, loved deeply, and left the world a brighter place. His family will forever cherish the countless happy memories, shared stories, and the unwavering warmth he brought into their lives.
