Obituary for Denise Lyn Halloran

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Denise Lyn Halloran, who left us on October 31, 2025, in Olympia, Washington, at the age of 80. Born on February 13, 1945, in Joyce, Washington, she was the beloved daughter of Janice Tuttle and James Halloran.

Denise was a dedicated professional and an ambitious individual who made significant contributions in her various roles. She began her career as a Detroit City Police Officer, followed by her impactful work as a Social Worker. Denise furthered her commitment to community service as the President of the Mary P. Dolciani Foundation, a position she held from 2005 until her passing.

An alumna of the University of Washington, Denise earned her Master's degree in Social Work, which further enabled her to touch the lives of many in her community. Her passion for knowledge was reflected in her status as a lifelong learner, always seeking to enrich her understanding and skills. In addition to her professional achievements, Denise was a devoted mother to her daughter, Meghan Reichard, and a cherished grandmother to her three grandchildren: Abigail Reichard, Madison Reichard, and Olivia Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Quinn, who passed away in 2010, and her sister, Kathleen Thompson.

Denise possessed a profound love for history and was actively involved in local historical organizations. She lovingly restored her beloved historic Victorian home and became a board member of the Bigelow House. Denise was also a proud dog owner, with her cherished companion, Millie, by her side.
