Dwight William Brandt Sr.

Dwight William Brandt Sr, 83, passed away July 26, 2026 in Olympia, Washington. Born in Chicago to William and Florence (Jednoralski), he grew up in the Sunnyside area of Marysville, Washington where he enjoyed his youth fishing and raising rabbits. After high school, he lived in Chicago where he worked for Reliable Electric Company and where met his wife, Anne. He returned to Washington State with Anne to begin their new life together and raise a family. During his working years, Dwight’s diverse interests spanned multiple industries, including electrical, logging, aerospace, and especially automotive. An entrepreneur at heart, he also operated several small businesses over the years, including two towing companies, a video rental store, and a livestock feed store. His retirement years were happily spent with his beloved wife in rural Skagit and Lewis counties tending to his cattle and enjoying the company of his many cats and dogs. Dwight was preceded in death by his parents and wife, and is survived by his children Kimberly, Kristen, Dwight Jr, Douglas, and Daylan, as well as his many grandchildren.
