Edward " Eddie" Francis McDonald Jr.
Sep 23, 1941 — Sep 5, 2026
Eddie lived a life marked by warmth, humor, and generosity. He served in the Air Force, and after his military service he worked as a book binder with Haddon Craftsman. He also gave his time and care through Meals on Wheels, reflecting the same spirit of service that shaped so much of his life. Eddie was known as a man with a huge heart, someone who was always helping people, and whose funny nature brought joy to those around him.
One of the great blessings of his life was his marriage to Grace Maxine Miller, whom he married in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Together they shared a life filled with companionship and everyday moments that meant so much. Eddie always treasured spending time with his family, he loved picking up his grandson and going to Dairy Queen, watching his grandkids compete in their sports, dancing with Niyah poo and especially watching TV with the love of his life Grace. These simple, loving routines became treasured parts of the life he built with those he loved most.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Grace McDonald. He also leaves behind his children and their families: Stephen Nolan and his wife, Christine; Chris Nolan and his wife, Regina; John Nolan and his wife, Stacey; Denise Forch and her husband, Carl; Theresa Izo and Michelle Tippett Kime. He was also a proud grandfather to 19 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to many great-grandchildren. His family was at the center of his life, and his love for them was evident in the time he gave, the laughter he shared, and the care he showed so freely.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward McDonald Sr.; his mother, Lillian McDonald; his sister, Margaret Sweet; his brothers Robert McDonald, Thomas McDonald, Jack McDonald, Billy McDonald, and James McDonald; and his grandson, Ross Mackie.
Eddie will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, and the generous heart that touched so many lives. His memory will live on in the love of his family and in the many people he helped along the way.
