Eli Stephen Holt
August 14, 2000 – October 29, 2026
With hearts full of love and unimaginable sadness, we share the passing of our beloved Eli Stephen Holt, who passed away on October 29, 2026, at the age of 26.
Eli was born on August 14, 2000, in Olympia, Washington, to Craig and Betty Holt. The youngest of the Holt family, Eli grew up surrounded by love, laughter, and the friendships that would become such an important part of his life.
Eli attended Garfield and Hansen Elementary Schools, Marshall Middle School, and Capital High School. Growing up, he loved playing baseball, shooting hoops, and spending time with his friends. An avid reader with an incredible mind, Eli was affectionately known among his friends as a “human calculator,” able to figure out numbers in his head with remarkable ease. He was also very well known for his fun, sock collection, so many socks!
But what truly made Eli special was his love for the people in his life. His friendships meant the world to him, and he treasured the time spent with those closest to him. Family held an equally special place in his heart, especially his nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly. Eli had a wonderful sense of humor, a quick mind, and a smile that will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him.
In February 2024, Eli began a new chapter when he moved to Colorado. He thoroughly enjoyed his time there, especially working for the Aurora Parks Department. In May 2026, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona.
Eli is survived by his loving parents, Craig and Betty Holt; his cherished sister, Rach’l Scott-Becker; his nephews, Patrick and Braxton; his nieces, Autumn and Jonnie; and his grandparents, Joann Harper and Denzil and Alice Holt.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Margaret Meek; step-grandparent, Jack Cato; and his older brother, Jonathan Holt.
Although Eli’s time with us was far too short, the love he shared, the friendships he cherished, and the memories he created will remain with us forever. His final act of generosity was his decision to be an organ donor, giving the extraordinary gift of life to others. Even in our deepest sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that Eli’s legacy will continue through the lives he has touched and the lives he has saved.
A Celebration of Eli’s Life will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Harmony Hall located in the Washington Land Yacht Club. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate a life that meant so much to so many.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Eli’s honor to the South Sound Reading Foundation, recognizing his lifelong love of reading.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our Eli.
