Frank Louis Giaquinto

Frank Louis Giaquinto, beloved husband, devoted father and grandfather, cherished brother, and treasured friend, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, in Olympia, Washington, just days before his 83rd birthday and 54th wedding anniversary. Born on July 15, 1943, in the Bronx, New York, Frank’s journey through life was shaped by a remarkable spirit of selflessness, unwavering integrity, and a boundless capacity for love.

Frank’s formative years in the Bronx instilled in him the values of hard work and family loyalty that would become the guiding principles of his entire life. After serving honorably in the Army, Frank spent the last 20+ years of his career at the State of Washington’s Department of Labor, ultimately retiring with the admiration and respect of his colleagues. He was known throughout his professional life for his strong work ethic and the quiet strength of his leadership.

In the tapestry of Frank’s story, his love for family was woven through every thread. On July 15, 1972, Frank married Barbara L. Linch in Thurston County, beginning a partnership built on love, laughter, and mutual support. Together, they created a warm and vibrant home where their children—Frank, Jason, Joanne, Debbie, Donna, and Danielle—grew up surrounded by encouragement and unconditional devotion. 

Frank will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Barbara; his sons, Frank and Jason; his daughters, Joanne, Debbie, Donna, and Danielle; and his siblings: Michael Giaquinto, Anthony Giaquinto, Elizabeth Koperweis, and Genevieve Giaquinto; along with 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also remembered by the memory of his parents Frank and Theresa Giaquinto, whose legacy of love and family devotion lived on through their son.

His passions in life extended well beyond his career and service. Frank found joy in baseball, photography, was fascinated by the study of family genealogy, and delighted in traveling to new places. Yet, it was his everyday actions—the laughter he shared, the stories he told, and most notably, the notorious corny dad jokes—that truly marked his place in the hearts of everyone he met. Frank welcomed people with open arms and a ready smile, making homes, gatherings, and friendships all the richer for his presence.

Frank leaves behind memories of generosity and infectious laughter. Those blessed to know him recall his unwavering support and protection, as well as the unique ability to make everyone feel like part of the family. His legacy is one of love—a huge heart that never stopped giving, a life spent lifting the spirits of others, and an irreplaceable void left in each soul he touched.

A celebration of Frank's life will be held at Funeral Alternatives of Washington - Tumwater, 455 North Street SE, Tumwater, WA 98501, on August 2, 2026. The memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m. All who knew and loved Frank are welcome to attend.
