Janet Marie Erenberger

December 5, 1961 — February 10, 2026

Janet Marie Erenberger, née Foote, born on December 5, 1961, in Eugene, Oregon, departed this life on February 10, 2026, in Onalaska, Washington, after a sudden illness. Her passing has left an indelible void within the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Janet's life was a tapestry woven with love, devotion, and a vibrant spirit. A proud graduate of Willamette High School, she embarked upon a lifelong journey enriched by the bonds of family and faith. Her union with Dana Erenberger on May 22, 2001, in Harrisburg, Oregon, marked the beautiful beginning of a shared life filled with mutual respect and profound affection.

Her passions were many and diverse, reflecting a soul both tender and lively. She delighted immensely in teaching her grandchildren the art of baking cookies and the joyful games of her youth, such as “Say Say Oh Playmate" and wrestling with her grandchildren and children, pastime through which her warmth and playful nature shone brightly. Janet’s love for dancing and music was a constant source of joy, while her hands found purpose and peace in gardening, camping, fishing, sewing, and quilting. When at rest, she found solace in reading and a devoted following of television classics—“Let’s Make a Deal,” “The Price is Right,” “General Hospital,” “The Young and the Restless,” and “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Above all, Janet’s faith was the cornerstone of her existence. Her deep love for God, His Son, and the Catholic Church was evident in her daily life and interactions. It was in this sacred fellowship and the embrace of family that her spirit found true fulfillment.

Janet’s survivors are a testament to the life she cherished and nurtured. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Dana Erenberger; her son, Nicholas J. Spliethof; her daughters, Stacey Cholin and Andrea Miller; her step-daughter, April Erenberger; and her adoptive daughter, Sara Borchard. The legacy of her generosity and care extends further to eleven treasured grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert Foote, Richard Foote, Michael Foote, Andrew Gray, Tony Gray, and Robert Beckwith, and Ray Beckwith, and her sister Denise Ping, and dear friends who stood steadfastly by her side.

Janet was predeceased by her parents, Patricia Gray and Robert Foote, her step-father Al Gray, her step-son Bruce Erenberger, and her mother-in-law, Irma Erenberger.

A memorial service celebrating Janet’s life will be held on June 27, 2026,  Rosary from 10:30 a.m., Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., at St. Marks Catholic Parish, located at 1760 Echo Hollow Rd, Eugene, Oregon, 97402.  There is a luncheon following Mass located next to the church.  All friends and family are welcome to attend.  Those who wish to honor her memory are encouraged to contribute to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Eugene, reflecting Janet’s enduring spirit of generosity and compassion.
