Judith Liane Miniken

Judith Liane “Jude” Miniken, 82, of Hoquiam, Washington, passed away on April 2, 2026, in Olympia, Washington. She was born in Algona, Washington.

Jude was a woman of deep faith, strength, and compassion. A devoted Christian, her faith guided her life and the way she cared for others. She served her community in many meaningful ways—as a pastor, a therapist, and a dedicated Girl Scout leader and day camp director. She believed strongly in the importance of education and instilled that value in her family.

Jude had a creative spirit and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved gardening, collecting rocks, and caring for her beloved dogs and cats. She was generous to her core, intelligent, driven, and had a bright and unmistakable sense of humor.

Above all, Jude was a devoted mother and grandmother—a fierce and loving “mama bear” who protected and nurtured her family with everything she had.

Jude is survived by her children: Josh (Tracy), Amanda, Joe (Mandie), and Sarah (Steven); and her cherished grandchildren: Devin, Keaton, Chloe, Sean, Sebastian, and Colter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Betty; her brother, Terry; her sister, Jeanne; and her husband, Don.

Jude’s legacy of faith, love, strength, and resilience lives on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jude’s honor to the Union Gospel Mission Women Center or PAWS of Grays Harbor.

A memorial service for Jude will be held on May 16th at 3:00 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Olympia. A reception will follow.
