Karen M Juvet

d. Sep 2026

Karen M Juvet, 70, of Olympia, Washington, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026, at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by family, following a medical event she had sustained at home.

The youngest of five children, Karen was born to William and Patricia and grew up in Des Moines, Washington, where she excelled in her studies and dabbled in art and drama. In her junior year of high school, she met Roger at a square dance camping trip at Lake Goodwin. They married in August of 1975 and immediately traveled across the country to Florida with Roger's band. After a short stint in Palm Beach, they returned to Washington and started to build a life and a family with the arrival of their son, Ryan. As their dreams continued to get bigger, they bought land and built a house on a lake in 1990 and added a winter home in Las Vegas in 2008.

Karen started off as an ER admissions clerk before joining Boeing in 1978 as a clerk/typist. During her almost 37 year tenure, she rose from clerk to manager of the Information Systems team that supported the Spares department. Her team called her Mom, upper-management called her Boss.

She had many interests including camping, reading books at the beach, winning royal flushes at the casino, and spending time with her cats. She was also a devoted sports fan, cheering on the Seahawks, the Mariners and her Las Vegas Golden Knights.

Karen loved her family and prioritized them above all. She was a devoted wife to Roger for 51 years. She was a caring mother to Ryan and later to Rachelle, and a doting grandmother to Spencer. Karen loved all of the friends that she made along her journey in life. She celebrated with them in the good times and held their hand in the bad times.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Roger; her son, Ryan, and his wife, Rachelle; her grandson, Spencer; and her siblings, Terry (Janet), Bob (Mary), and Kathi (Ron), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Patricia, and her brother, Dennis.

Family and friends are invited to share memories, photos, and videos at forkaren.com.

She will be dearly missed.
