Patricia Joan Ritterhouse

Sep 8, 1952 — Sep 18, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Joan Ritterhouse, who left this world on September 18, 2025. Born on September 8, 1952, in El Monte, California, Patricia was a beacon of compassion and strength. She was a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, cherished by all who knew her.

Patricia graduated from Nogales High School in 1970 and continued her education at Mount San Antonio College, earning her degree in 1972. Her professional journey began in the mortgage and banking sector in California, culminating in a remarkable 25-year career at Heritage Bank in Olympia, Washington. Patricia’s clarity of thought and unwavering loyalty made her not just a dedicated professional, but also an indispensable part of her community.

Known as the "glue" of her family, Patricia showed unconditional love and was always there for her family and friends. She is characterized by her generosity, kindness, and loyalty. She filled her life with beautiful moments that reflected her passions. An avid crafter, she delighted in creating intricate cards and her crafting space was a vibrant explosion of colors and creativity. During the holiday season, her Chex Mix was famous, her pies were legendary, and her home was transformed into a picturesque celebration. Most notably with her breathtaking Christmas tree, which sparkled with love and care.

Patricia had a love for gardening and landscaping, bringing beauty to her surroundings and comforting warmth to those who visited. Her home was not just a house, but a sanctuary where family and friends gathered to share laughter, love, and support.

She is survived by her sisters Judy Grimsman and Gail Ritterhouse, and their husbands Dale Grimsman and Joey Castro, respectively. As well as her sister Karen Ashley and her late husband Doug. She will be remembered eternally by her nephew Paul Castro and niece Kelly Castro. Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Paul and Catherine Ritterhouse.

A memorial service will be held to honor Patricia’s remarkable life at a private celebration at family's request.
