In Loving Memory

Ruth Ann Thomas Carlson

October 1, 1946 – September 1, 2026

Ruth Ann Thomas Carlson, a cherished member of the Aberdeen community, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026, at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born on October 1, 1946, in Evanston, Illinois, Ruth Ann was a beacon of kindness and service throughout her life.

Ruth Ann was the beloved daughter of the late Blanche Eunice Carlson. She was raised with a profound sense of duty to others and graduated from Weatherwax High School on June 3, 1964.

Her roles in various posts and her ongoing dedication to the Salvation Army and Amazing Grace Church were testaments to her generous spirit. She was a self-taught pianist who recently stepped in to play at her church, allowing the regular pianist a rest for two weeks. Her musical talents brought immense joy to the seasonal dinners at Amazing Grace.

Ruth Ann’s joy in life brought her to playing Bingo at the Aberdeen Senior Center, quilting on Wednesdays with the Amazing Grace Quilters as she enjoyed working with people, and belonging to teams serving the congregation. Ruth Ann attended many luncheons, breakfasts, and dinners at Saron Lutheran to benefit their services to the community. Ruth Ann will be remembered for her smiling service to those in need.

Friends express their deep appreciation to Regional Health Hospital in Aberdeen, WA, and St. Peter’s Hospital in Olympia, WA, for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army of Grays Harbor County or to the Amazing Grace Lutheran Church, Aberdeen, WA.
