Wendy Lee Baldwin Hargett

Wendy Lee Baldwin Hargett, born June 6, 1963, in Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on August 24, 2026, in Olympia, Washington.

Wendy lived with a spirit that touched the people around her. She graduated from Tenino High School in 1981 and carried herself through life with a warmth that was unmistakable. She was full of positivity and radiated love to everyone. To those who knew her best, Wendy was the definition of love. 

She started her career with Western Airlines in 1984 then transferred to Delta Airlines in 1987. She left her airline career to be a stay at home mom. She was an incredible mother, always very involved and had so much patience. She enjoyed traveling the country and going on adventures with her family. She also enjoyed seeing her biological family is Australia every chance she got. She built so many deep connections with coworkers and friends over the years. She spent years as Special Education Para and cared deeply for all the students she worked with. 

She excelled in everything she did over the years. She was an avid writer, she wrote books and was featured on podcasts. She was also an amazing baker. She made the most incredible platter of baked goods over the holidays as well as her famous Chex mix. 

Her life was marked by deep and lasting family bonds. She was married to Scott Baldwin from 1983 until 2013, and later remarried Todd Hargett in 2017. Through the years, Wendy remained centered on the people she loved, giving of herself with kindness, strength, and an open heart. She remained good friends with Scott over the years and his second wife Joy. Every family gathering was full of laughter and love.

She is survived by her son, Donovan (Jennifer) her daughter, Megan (Chris), her sister Cindy, and brothers David (Liesl), and James (Brenda) and birth mother Joanne. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Hailee, Scarlett, Adalynn, and Virgil, who were a treasured part of her life and legacy. The love Wendy shared with her family will continue to live on in each of them.

Wendy was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Williams; and her grandparents, Ruth Williams and Harry Willliams.

Those who loved Wendy will remember her for the care she gave so freely, the positivity she carried into every room, and the deep love that defined her life. Her memory will remain a lasting blessing to her family and to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
