Betty Jane Elliott

Betty Jane Sharp Elliott of Tampa passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2026. Her husband, James Elliott, passed away February 20, 2023 predeceased her. Sons Dr. Gregory Dyer, Jeffery Dyer and wife Hazel, daughter Amy Suzanne Lepage and husband Raymond, all of Tampa, survive her. Nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive her.

Betty was born on May 9, 1934 in Bradenton FL to Henry Issac and Elizabeth Creekmore Sharp. She grew up in Bradenton FL and later attended Florida State University in Tallahassee FL. She worked for a short period as a dental assistant in Tampa, FL but her primary career was that of being wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother and great grandmother.

There will be a private service held for Betty at the Fogertyville Cemetery of Bradenton FL.
