Jacquelyn T Ragan

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jacquelyn "Jackie" T. Ragan (Turner), who left us on April 1, 2026, at the age of 83. Jackie was born on June 21, 1942, in Ruskin, FL.  She was married to Ralph Ragan for 56 years before his passing in 2016.

She cherished her family deeply and was particularly proud of her role as a mother, grandmother, and friend. Family include 3 daughters Marilyn Shaffer, Carolyn Marshall (Ken) and Sandra Sandhoff; 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Jackie was known for her unwavering kindness, her generous spirit, and her dedication to those around her. She possessed a warm presence that brought comfort and joy to her loved ones, and her home was a haven filled with laughter and love.

She was a graduate a 1960 graduate of Palmetto High School and a majorette. While specific details of her education and career remain a cherished part of her memory, Jackie's legacy was defined not merely by her achievements but by the relationships she fostered. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people, leaving a lasting impression that inspired many.

Jackie worked at Manatee Memorial Hospital for almost 50 years in the Purchasing Department.

Jackie was a beloved figure in her community, often volunteering her time to help others. Her interests spanned a variety of activities.

As we reflect on Jackie’s life, we celebrate a woman who approached each day with grace and compassion. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

In honor of her memory, a heartfelt invitation is extended to all who wish to celebrate her life. Further details regarding the ceremony will be shared with those who wish to pay their respects. Jackie would like for you to "Raise you glass and have a margarita in her honor."
