William Bruce Bull

William Bruce Bull, born July 3, 1948, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on September 17, 2026, near his home in Palmetto, Florida.

Bill spent much of his life in Lakeland, Florida, where he raised his family and became well known in the community through his leadership at Summit Consulting, Inc., as part owner of Lakeland Flying Service which brought him to Florida, and many other successful endeavors. While he was incredibly proud of his work and the many lasting friendships he made there, his greatest joy was watching his family grow and blossom, with plenty of fun and adventure sprinkled throughout the years.

On any given day, you might find Bill on a road trip along the Pacific Coast Highway with his beautiful wife, Georga; motoring over to the Bahamas to simply enjoy the salt and sun; riding his Harley with his brothers and best friends from Key West to Maine; flying his plane with his favorite co-pilot, Georga, at his side; or sitting quietly on his back porch, holding her hand by the river and, as he always said, “watching the world go by.”

To know Bill was to have access to one of the savviest business minds, always full of advice, perspective and hard-earned wisdom, paired with the kindest and gentlest of hearts. He was rarely rattled by life or its circumstances. Bill seemed to see the bigger picture more clearly than most, and he generously helped those around him learn how to navigate it, too. He gave freely of his experience, his guidance, his time and, most of all, his love.

Bill was preceded in death by his loving parents, Gordon and Harriett Bull; his sister, Patti Stetler; and his brothers, John and Harrison Bull.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Georga Bull; his brother, Jim Bull (Cheryl); his children, Michael Bull (Jessica), Kelly Parker (Scott), Deanna DeLegge (Joey) and Kristin Bull; and his grandchildren, Brooklyn Bull, Evan, Emma, and Everett Parker, Graysen Ellis (Dalton), and Jackson DeLegge. One of Bill’s final great joys was welcoming and meeting his first great-grandchild, Emerson Claire, in March of this year, a beautiful new generation of the family he loved so deeply.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held in Lakeland, Florida on a future date.

Bill lived a full life; he was the fullest of men. And while those who loved him would give anything for one more conversation, one more piece of advice or one more adventure, perhaps the best way to honor him is to occasionally sit quietly with someone we love, take in the view, and as Bill would say, simply “watch the world go by.”
