Maria Victoria Sapp

Maria Victoria Sapp, 70, of South Carolina, passed away August 5, 2026. Born October 10, 1955, in Bogota, Colombia, she was the daughter of the late Julio Ernesto Faccini and the late Emma Vergara Galviz.

Maria Victoria found her greatest joy in helping people. She had an ease of talking to anyone, and it was so natural to fall in love with her contagious energy and her enormous heart. Her generosity was boundless, and she was quick to open her doors and her heart to so many because she saw the best in them. Maria Victoria was passionate about family. She was the conduit who ensured that the stories and lives of so many loved-ones would be known, shared, and preserved. Her favorite pastime was spending time with friends- both old and new- and with her family, especially her granddaughter.

Maria Victoria is survived by her daughter, Emma, son-in-law Daniel, and granddaughter Anna.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband Arthur Sapp.

The family will receive friends who wish to pay their final respects to Maria Victoria from 2pm to 3pm on Friday, August 14, 2026 at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28203. A memorial service will follow in the chapel beginning at 3pm.
