Susan Elizabeth Trusler Misiaveg, age 80, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on February 11, 2026.
Born June 8, 1945, in Montclair, New Jersey, Susan was the beloved daughter of the late Albert and Rose Trusler. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and treasured friend whose kindness, grace, and faith touched all who knew her.
Susan is survived by her loving husband, Charles Misiaveg; her daughters, Theresa Misiaveg Goble and her husband, Randall, and Elizabeth Misiaveg-Patel and her husband, Apur. She also leaves behind grandchildren: Joseph Goble (Lily), Nicholas Goble (Autumn), John Goble (Ella Fuesy), Ruhi Patel (Tejon Saeed), and JC Patel; and great-granddaughter, Heidi.
In addition, she is survived by her sister, Carolyn Trusler Alexander and her husband, Dan; her sisters-in-law, Kathy Shimonis and Suzanne Misiaveg; her brother-in-law, William Misiaveg; as well as several nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her.
Susan will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her gentle spirit, and her deep devotion to her faith. Her legacy of compassion and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 507 S. Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28202. Following Mass, family and friends will gather to remember Susan in Biss Hall at St. Peter.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Joseph School (Marietta, GA); Friends of the Library, Sara Hightower Library (Rome, GA); or The Humane Society of Charlotte (NC).
