It is with heavy hearts that we announce Ceferina Baron, known to many as Nina, passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 6, 2026. She was born on August 26,1938 in Cebu, Philippines to the parents of Pedro and Tranquilina Alcantara. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Ceferina’s life was a beautiful reflection of love, selflessness, and devotion. Her greatest joy was her family, and she gave herself wholeheartedly to those she loved with a caring heart and unwavering support. She will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity.

Nina’s love extended far beyond words through her acts of selflessness. She would always be ready to be willing to offer her help in whatever way she could. The lessons she taught, the love she shared, and the memories she leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of her family for generations to come.

She is survived by her daughter, Marlene, and son-in-law, Edgar; her grandchildren, Natalie and Myela whom she cherished dearly. She is also survived by her sisters, Eulalia Maurin and Isabelita Mariscal; and extended family and friends whose lives were touched by her love and care.

Although she is no longer with us, Nina’s memory will remain a blessing. Her love will continue through the family she cherished and the many lives she touched.

You will forever be loved, missed, and remembered.

Viewing will be held in Salinas, California at Healey Mortuary on August 4th 2026 at 1pm to 5 pm, with the rosary beginning at 3 PM. Services will be held on August 5th 2026, at Sacred Heart Church at 9:30 AM, followed by a procession to Garden of Memories.
