Delfina Zenteno, de 93 años, residente de Salinas, California, falleció el 22 de septiembre de 2026. Nació el 24 de diciembre de 1932 en Puebla, México.

Durante 40 años, Delfina trabajó como trabajadora del campo, mostrando una vida entera de dedicación y esfuerzo. En su tiempo libre, encontraba alegría en su jardín, cuidando sus plantas con el mismo cariño que le dio a todo en la vida. Católica devota, su fe fue el centro de quién era, y hace 20 años ayudó en el desarrollo del salón parroquial de la Iglesia Cristo Rey, un aporte duradero a una comunidad que tanto amó.

A Delfina la precedieron en la muerte su esposo y su hija. Le sobreviven sus 2 hijos, 6 nietos, 8 bisnietos y 2 tataranietos, quienes llevan consigo su recuerdo y los valores que ella les inculcó.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el jueves 15 de Octubre, de 1:00 a 5:00 PM, con el Rosario a las 4:00 PM, en Healey Mortuary, 405 N Sanborn Rd, Salinas, CA 93905.

La misa se celebrará el viernes 16 de Octubre a las 10:00 AM en la Iglesia Cristo Rey, 240 Calle Cebu, Salinas, CA 93901, y el entierro será posteriormente en Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

In Loving Memory of Delfina Zenteno

Delfina Zenteno, 93, of Salinas, California, passed away on September 22, 2026. She was born on December 24, 1932 in Puebla, Mexico.

For 40 years, Delfina worked as a farm worker, embodying a lifetime of dedication and hard work. In her time away from the fields, she found joy in gardening, tending to her plants with the same care she gave everything in life. A devoted Catholic, her faith was central to who she was, and 20 years ago she helped with the development of the parish hall at Cristo Rey Church — a lasting contribution to a community she loved.

Delfina was preceded in death by her husband and her daughter. She is survived by her 2 sons, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, who carry forward her memory and the values she instilled in them.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 15th, from 1:00–5:00 PM, with a Rosary at 4:00 PM, at Healey Mortuary, 405 N Sanborn Rd, Salinas, CA 93905.

Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 16th at 10:00 AM at Iglesia Cristo Rey, 240 Calle Cebu, Salinas, CA 93901, with burial to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
