Elias A Guerrero
March 7, 1939 — April 7, 2026
Elias A. Guerrero, age 87, passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Elias was born on March 7, 1939, in Hayward, California, and moved to Chualar, California, as a young boy. He graduated from Gonzales High School in 1957. and not long after, he met the woman of his dreams—the love of his life. Together, they shared an incredible 67 years of marriage, building a life centered on love, commitment, and family.
Our dad was a hardworking man who took great pride in what he did. He worked at Chemical Lime, where he dedicated many years of his life and eventually retired as a Maintenance Supervisor.
Elias loved to travel on cruise ships, fish for salmon in Monterey Bay, welding and BBQ for family and friends and spend time outdoors. He especially cherished family get-togethers with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, where he shared laughter, stories, and great food.
Elias will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose kind heart and steady presence meant so much to everyone who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and hard work will continue to live on through his family.
He survived by his loving wife, Agnes Guerrero, and his two daughters, Valerie (Mike) Flores and Paulette (Anthony) Arratia. He is also survived by his sister, Terry (Tony) Parker and brother Gabriel Guerreo; nine grandchildren: Michael (Yassid) Flores, Stephanie Guerrero, Cristina (Tony) Munoz, Tommy (Julie) Flores, Michelle (Erik Diaz) Daly, Elias Guerrero III, Heather (Roger) Gonzalez, April Arratia, and Erik Arratia; 19 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.
Elias was preceded in death by his parents, Isaias and Luisa Guerrero, his brother George Guerrero, and his son Elias Anthony Guerrero Jr.
Services will be held at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd, Salinas, CA 93905 on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Viewing will be held at 9:00 a.m. Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Our father will be laid to rest at Garden of Memories 850 Abbott St, Salinas, CA 93901
Though we will miss him deeply, we are grateful for the life he lived and the love he gave. His legacy lives on in each of us.
