George Leonard Sigala, 69, of Salinas, California, passed away on June 21, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife and children. He was born on June 18, 1957, in Salinas, California, where he lived his entire life.

George worked at Weyerhaeuser/International Paper Company for 31 years, where he built lifelong friendships before retiring in 2012.

An avid sports enthusiast, George loved playing softball, tennis, ping pong, bowling, and horseshoes throughout his life. He was also a lifelong fan of the San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and Golden State Warriors, rarely missing the opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams.

From an early age, George developed a passion for cars, especially classic automobiles. In the 1970s, he became a member of the Crusaders Car Club and was incredibly proud to be named an honorary member when the club became active again in 2018.
