Joseph Salvatore Aliotti passed away peacefully in the early morning of February 25 at the family home he shared with his parents. He was taken by the angels at the age of 55.

Joseph was born in Monterey, California, on April 5, 1970, to Gaspare and Carole Aliotti. He grew up in Monterey and Corral de Tierra, attending local schools and becoming well known in the community for his strong work ethic and friendly nature.

Over the years, Joseph held many roles and was truly a jack of all trades. He worked locally as a banker, bookkeeper, caretaker, and driver. In 2010, he moved to Crescent City, California, where he worked as a truck driver and visited 36 states. In 2016, he returned to Corral de Tierra, where he continued serving his community as a caregiver for the elderly and most recently as a non-emergency medical transportation driver.

Joseph was a devoted member of San Carlos Church, where he regularly volunteered his time helping to feed the homeless. He was also a proud and active member of the Monterey County Democrats, serving as executive secretary for nearly eight years.

Joseph had many interests and simple joys in life. He loved cars, Star Wars, James Bond, reading, music, animals, and visits to Rosine’s Restaurant. He especially enjoyed Christmas and the holidays, and collecting coins, stamps, and other knick-knacks.

Joseph is survived by his loving parents, Gaspare and Carole Aliotti; his sisters, Janice Aliotti (Pavel) and Antoinette Rodriguez (Ludwig); and his nieces and nephews, Phillip Domanic, Alexis Domanic, Jessica Kerchner (Paz), and Kayla Rodriguez. He was also a proud great-uncle to Bobby Domanic and Hailey Kerchner. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Quinten Aliotti, who passed away in 1999.

A Mass will be held on Monday, March 23, at 10:00 a.m. at San Carlos Church.
