María Maldonado, también conocida como, María del Carmen González Félix, 72, de Salinas; nacida el 23 de Agosto de 1953 en Yahualica, Jalisco, México falleció el 5 de Mayo del 2026 en San Francisco, CA. Una mujer, madre, abuela, hermana y amiga ejemplar. María sabía vivir la vida al máximo. Ella conservó su corazón de niña el cual la ayudó a ver la vida con ojos llenos de alegría y positivismo. Mujer llena de lucha, pasión y coraje que le trajo felicidad y esperanza a todos los que la conocían. Guerrera que siempre luchó por sus hijos y familia contra todo y contra todos con garra y entereza. Madre que llenó nuestras vidas con mucho amor y nos enseñó a trabajar, respetar y disfrutar de la vida; en una palabra, nos enseñó a “vivir”. A María le sobreviven sus hijos Gerardo, Esmeralda y Jessica y sus nietos Andres y Adrian.
El velorio será el Jueves 4 de Junio del 2026 de 2pm a 8pm y el Rosario será a las 6pm en Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. La misa será el Viernes 5 de Junio del 2026 a las 10am en la Iglesia Santa María 242 Towt St. Salinas, CA 93905. El entierro será después de la misa en el cementerio Queen of Heaven Cemetery 18200 Damian Way Salinas, CA 93907.
María Maldonado, also known as María del Carmen González Félix, 72, from Salinas; born August 23, 1953 in Yahualica, Jalisco, México, passed on May 5, 2026 in San Francisco, CA. An exemplary woman, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. María knew how to live life to the maximum. She had the heart of a child which helped her to see life with eyes full of joy, wonder and positivity. A woman full of passion, courage and tenacity that brought happiness and hope to all who knew her. A warrior that always fought for her children and family against everyone and everything with determination and fortitude. Mother who filled our lives with love and taught us how to work, respect others and how to enjoy life; in one word, she taught us how to “live”. María is survived by her son Gerardo, daughters Esmeralda and Jessica and her grandsons Andres and Adrian.
The viewing will be on Thursday June 4, 2026 between 2pm and 8pm and the Rosary will be held at 6pm at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. Mass will be held on Friday June 5, 2026 at 10am at St. Mary of the Nativity Church 242 Towt St. Salinas, CA 93905. The burial will take place following mass at Queen of Heaven Cemetery 18200 Damian Way Salinas, CA 93907.
