Barbara June Petrie

Barbara Petrie, 88, of Byron, Georgia passed away May 8, 2026 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Petrie was born in Macon, Georgia to the late James and Woodie Bedgood. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Terry Petrie, and her son, Timothy Petrie. Mrs. Petrie was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Petrie was a civil servant at Robins Air Force Base for over 30 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; she was an avid reader and enjoyed watching Jeopardy, as well as activities that kept her mind sharp and helped to enrich her days.

She is survived by her children: Delaine Tornio, Butch Hulett, Patti Williams, Robin Grooms, Randell (Bonnie) Petrie, Beth (TC) Cunningham, and Terri Riner. Additional survivors include: 22 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all of whom will treasure her memory.

The family invites all who knew Barbara to honor her memory at a graveside service on May 12, 2026. The service will begin at 11:00 AM at Parkway Memorial Gardens, located at 720 Carl Vinson Parkway, Warner Robins, GA 31093.

This gathering will be a time to celebrate Barbara’s life. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for her family and friends.
