Charles Carpenter

Jan 15, 1938 — Oct 14, 2026

Charles “Chuck” Calvin Carpenter of Warner Robins Georgia peacefully entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday October 14, 2026 at the age of 88. He passed away at his residence surrounded by the love and comfort of his beloved daughters. A devoted husband and loving father who was also a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. Chuck lived a life defined by his unwavering faith and deep love for his family. His dedication to serving others was evident in everything he did.

Chuck was born on January 15, 1938 in Augusta Georgia to the late Allie Carpenter Sr. and Grace H. Nickleson Carpenter. From an early age he developed a strong sense of duty and commitment to serving others. During his high school years Chuck participated in the Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) where his admiration for military service grew into a lifelong passion. Immediately following graduation he proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps to serve his country. His time as a Marine reflected the courage and discipline that would remain defining characteristics throughout his life. The values instilled in him through his military service were evident in the way he loved his family and served his community.

Above all else Chuck was a family man. He adored his beloved wife Ann and treasured the life and memories they built together. His children and grandchildren along with his great-grandchildren were among his greatest earthly blessings. He found tremendous joy in being surrounded by those he loved and took great pride in the family that meant so much to him. Whether offering a word of encouragement or sharing wisdom gained through a lifetime of experiences Chuck had a special way of making those around him feel valued and loved. His family will forever cherish his steady presence and the countless memories they shared.

Chuck's faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation upon which he built his life. As an active and devoted member of Second Baptist Church of Warner Robins he faithfully participated in Life Group where he enjoyed Christian fellowship and continued growing in his relationship with the Lord. Chuck believed that faith was more than something to profess on Sunday mornings. It was something to be lived out each and every day. With the heart of a humble servant he sought opportunities to care for others and extend kindness to those in need. He was passionate about sharing the good news of the Gospel and demonstrating the love of Christ through his actions. He understood that a life well lived was not measured by personal recognition or earthly accomplishments but by the love shown to others and the difference made through faithful service.

Those who knew Chuck will remember a man of steadfast character and genuine compassion. He loved his country and cherished his family while remaining devoted to his Savior. Though his earthly journey has come to an end his family takes comfort in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ and the assurance that Chuck has now heard the words every faithful servant longs to hear: “Well done thou good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:21)

In addition to his parents Chuck was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ann Carpenter and his cherished daughter Cherie Ann Carpenter.

Left to treasure his memory and carry forward his legacy are his loving daughters Theresa Moneypenny and Dr. Sandra Carpenter; his granddaughter Tabitha Shelly and her husband Brandyn; and his precious great-granddaughters Grace Ann and Hazel Mae. He also leaves behind many dear friends and fellow church members whose lives were touched by his kindness and faithful example.

A celebration of Chuck's life and the Christian faith he held so dear will be held on Friday October 16, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church of Warner Robins with Pastor Gary Morton officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at the church beginning at 2:00 p.m. one hour prior to the service. Immediately following the service Chuck will be laid to rest at Magnolia Park Cemetery where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and celebrate a life of faithful service.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to Second Baptist Church's Helping Hands Ministry at 2504 Moody Road in Warner Robins Georgia 31088. This ministry reflects Chuck's lifelong commitment to caring for others and sharing the love of Christ through acts of service.

While his presence will be deeply missed the love he gave and the faith he demonstrated will continue to live on through the generations of his family and the countless lives he touched. Chuck's legacy is one of faith and family with a lifetime devoted to serving others. His family rejoices in knowing that his earthly service is complete and his eternal rest has begun.
