Clois Ray Hubbard

Jun 26, 1941 — Oct 27, 2026

Clois Ray Hubbard, known to many as Ray, passed away on October 27, 2026, in Warner Robins, Georgia, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 26, 1941, in St. Louis, Missouri and lived a life marked by devotion to his faith, family, and country.

Ray served his nation with honor in the United States Navy, retiring after 21 years of service. He achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer, a reflection of his patriotism, leadership, dedication, and steady commitment. After his military career, he worked in the Aerospace industry for 20 years. He then became an Adjunct Professor at MGTC for 10 years before retiring. Those years formed an important part of a life built on discipline, purpose, and service to others.

He earned an MBA degree, an accomplishment that reflected his belief in growth, learning, and perseverance. In every chapter of his life, he brought a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and a willingness to give of himself. Ray was a great storyteller, a lifelong learner, had a love for music, and many hobbies.

Ray was a dedicated member of The Well at Centerville Church and was an active Mason, where he valued fellowship, service, and the bonds of brotherhood. His faith and commitment to serving others were enduring parts of who he was. He will be remembered most tenderly as a man who loved his wife and family deeply. That love was the center of his life and the legacy that remains in the hearts of those who knew him best.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine Hubbard, his spouse of 53 years. Together, Elaine and Ray built a family that was a great source of pride and joy in his life. He is also survived by their children, Kimberly (Roger) Reed, Karen (Kevin) Carroll, Sandra Hubbard Faulmino, Michael Scott (Julie) Hubbard, and Jason (Laura) Hubbard. Ray is further survived by his brother, Lee (Roberta) Hubbard; his sister, Betty Hubbard; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The love of his family surrounded him in life and remained with him in his final moments.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Hubbard; his mother, Vonell Ray Hubbard; and his brother, Kevin Hubbard. Their memories remained part of the story of his life and were surely held close in the hearts of those who loved him.

Ray’s life was one of faithful service, quiet strength, and abiding love. He will be deeply missed and warmly remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing him.
