Ida M. "Sally" Keith, a pillar of strength, compassion, and unwavering devotion, passed away on April 27, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Macon, Georgia. Born on June 24, 1939, in Macon, Sally life spanned over eight decades marked by an extraordinary blend of resilience and tenderness that touched all who were fortunate enough to know her.

As the Putnam County Hospital Emergency Room Dispatch Supervisor, Sally epitomized dedication and calm under pressure, guiding countless emergency responses with precision and care. Her career was a testament to her deep commitment to service, reflecting the same strong spirit that defined her personal life.

Sally was known for her caring and loving nature, qualities that radiated through her entire being. A strong and independent woman, she was a caregiver to all—family, friends, and community alike. Her passions spoke volumes about her zest for life: she found joy in fishing, had a special fondness for animals, and cherished her road trips. But most dear to her heart were the moments spent with her family, especially during holidays, where laughter and love were plentiful.

Born to Leamon and Leila Johnson, who have since passed, and sibling to her late brother Lamar Johnson, Sally carried forward a legacy of strength. She also mourned the loss of her son-in-law, Thomas Fleck, who joined her parents and brother in rest. Yet, her enduring love lives on through her children—Diane Fleck; Pam (Lee) Knight; Renee (Danny) Brantley; and Darriel “Pete” (Ellen) Williams; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren —all steadfast cornerstones in her storied family.

Sally's farewell will be marked with heartfelt gatherings beginning with a visitation on April 30, 2026, at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., followed immediately by the funeral service at 3:00 PM. Thereafter, a solemn interment will take place at Parkway Memorial Gardens.
