Joel Remus Foskey

Joel Remus Foskey, born November 26, 1962, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Troy Remus Foskey and Lena Knight Foskey, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, in Dry Branch, Georgia surrounded by his loving family.

Joel was a proud high school graduate and went on to build a strong and dedicated career with Kroger, where he worked as a produce manager. He took great pride in his work and was known for his leadership, knowledge, and commitment to both his colleagues and customers. He enjoyed mentoring others and helping create a positive and productive workplace.

He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who treasured his family above all else. His love, kindness, and steady presence brought comfort and joy to everyone who knew him. He cherished time spent with family and friends, always making memories that will be held close for generations to come.

A lifelong outdoorsman, Joel especially enjoyed deer hunting. He found peace in the woods and looked forward to the time spent outdoors, often sharing those experiences and traditions with the people he loved.

Above all, Joel was a man of strong faith and a committed member of Shurlington Church of the Nazarene. His faith served as an important foundation throughout his life and guided him in the way he cared for and supported others. His relationship with God guided his life, shaped the way he loved others, and gave him strength through every season. His faith was evident in the way he lived—with humility, generosity, compassion, and love.

In addition to his parents, Joel was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Pat Patterson.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Tiffany Carr (Brandon), and Ashley Perkins (Jesse) all of Macon; grandchildren: Kaitlin Carr, Natalie Carr, and Hailie Crumpton (Gabby); siblings: Betty Wood of Dry Branch, Debbie Patterson of Gray, Jeff Foskey (Charlotte) of Gray, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who shared many cherished memories with him throughout the years.

Though he will be greatly missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that his faith has carried him home and that the love and memories he left behind will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A visitation will be held at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory located at 701 Carl Vinson Pkwy, Warner Robins, GA 31093 on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Funeral services will take place on Sunday, August 23, 2026, beginning at 3:00pm at Mount Olive Church of the Nazarene located at 591 Mt Olive Church Rd, Wrightsville, GA 31096. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
