Kevin Glenn Powell

Kevin Glenn Powell, 59, passed away unexpectedly on September 28, 2026, in Perry, Georgia. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 3, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at 737 Raleigh Cobb Rd, Hawkinsville, Georgia 31036. Flowers may be delivered to the celebration location.

He was born on November 16, 1966, in Hillsboro County, Florida. Kevin will be remembered as a master mechanic whose skill, dedication, and steady hands reflected the pride he took in his work. He was also a true car enthusiast, and his passion for cars was a defining part of his life. Whether through his work or his personal interests, Kevin found joy in engines, craftsmanship, and the world of automobiles.

Above all, Kevin’s life was rooted in family. He is survived by his wife, Shawn Powell; children: Kevin Dylan Powell, Richard (Sabrina) Allen, Ronald Allen, Rochelle (Charlie) Parramore, and Rebecca (Johnny) Mackey. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Deseree Allen, Thomas Allen, Lizzy Allen, Jacob Latimer, CJ Parramore, Connor Parramore, Alaina Haynes, Carson Haynes, and Mackenzie Burnam-Powell, each of whom was a treasured part of his life.

Kevin is also survived by his sisters, Kristin (Rodney) Wright and Katherine (Steven) Klinger as well as his niece, Juanita Maldonado, and his nephew, Ricardo Madonado. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and loved him, and his memory will remain close in the hearts of his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Eileen Powell; brother, Richard Powell; and best fur friend, Scruffy. 

Lived with grease upon his hands, and love for the roads and racing plans. He worked hard, laughed, and lived his way, never wanting tears on his final day. So don't mourn the man we had to lose, remember the life he chose to choose. When engines roar and tires spin, think of him- and smile again!

Kevin’s life will be remembered with love, gratitude, and the lasting impression of a man who brought passion to what he did and devotion to those he held dear.
