Leonard Anthony Kaleta, 69, of Houston County, Georgia, formerly living in Thomasville, Georgia, passed away on December 15, 2025. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory.

To his family, Leonard was lovingly known as “Pops.” To friends, he was known as Lenny or PJ. Leonard was born on November 25, 1956, in Franklin, Ohio, to Ronald and Marjorie Kaleta. Leonard was artistic in many ways. Whether it was working on cars, building furniture, painting, or creating something new, he had a natural talent and creativity that showed in everything he did. He loved fishing, going on vacation, Tigger, the Chicago Bears, the Georgia Bulldogs, and the Ford brand. Leonard was a devoted and loving grandfather who truly adored his grandchildren.

Leonard was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Kaleta; Janis Kaleta; and his parents, Ronald and Marjorie Kaleta. He is survived by his children, Mandy Kaleta, Jeremiah Kaleta, and Layla Newby; his grandchildren, Bryson Rawls, Carson Rawls, Ryan Kaleta, and Journie Nigro; and his sister, Rhonda Kaleta.

Leonard will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
