May 7, 1947 — May 14, 2026

Myra Mullis Carson, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, in Bonaire, Georgia. Born on May 7, 1947, in Dexter, Georgia, Myra’s life was marked by joy, dedication, and a spirit of service that touched the lives of many.

Myra began working at Southern Bell immediately after high school. She was a valued operator and maintenance administrator at Bellsouth, where her commitment and reliability earned her the respect of colleagues and friends alike. Beyond her professional achievements, she was known for her cooking and joyful personality, bringing light and warmth to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

A faithful and active member of the Assembly of Warner Robins, Myra was not only a participant but also a steadfast supporter of the Widows Group at the Assembly. Her faith and involvement in her church were central pillars in her life, providing her with strength and purpose through all seasons.

Myra was a woman of many talents and passions. She dedicated herself to the Warner Robins outreach program for the homeless, extending kindness and support to those in need. Her cooking was renowned among family, extended relatives, and friends; her meals were imbued with love and skill, leaving an unforgettable taste that will be dearly missed. Like her daddy, she always cooked for an army.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joe Mullis and Lillian Bryan Mullis, and the love of her life and devoted spouse, Paul Allen Carson, whom she lost in June of 2020. Their memories remain treasures in the hearts of those who knew them.

Myra leaves behind a loving family that reflects the warmth of her character. She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Minix and Amber Carson Carter, her sisters, Darrell Sark and Deborah Crawford (Harrison), and her adored grandchildren: Andrea Jones (Billy), Alyssa Murray (Jefferson), and Joel Carter. Her legacy continues through six great-grandchildren: Liam, Logan, Nova, Aspen, Ava, and Oakley, who will forever carry a part of her joyful spirit.

The community and family mourn the loss of a truly remarkable woman whose happy soul and generous heart enriched the lives of all around her. Myra Carson’s memory will continue to inspire those who knew her to live with kindness, faith, and joy, just as she did every day of her life.
