William P. Alverson Sr.

William P. Alverson Sr. passed suddenly on September 20th, 2025 at his residence. Bill served proudly in the United States Air Force and retired as a ground radio communications technician.  A graveside service is planned for Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Andersonville National Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife. Full military honors will be rendered. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Alverson and sons: Chester Hulsinger,Sr. and William P. Alverson, Jr. He leaves behind 2 sisters, Becky and Juanita, grandchildren: Blake Rogers, April McGahee (nee Alverson), William P. Alverson, III, Heather Drew, Chester Hulsinger, Jr., and several greatgrandchildren. He also leaves behind his best friend, Pamela Drew who loved him dearly.
