Harvey Keith Linscott
Mar 25, 1940 — Oct 22, 2026
Harvey Keith Linscott, 86, of Ocala, FL, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2026. Harvey was born on March 25, 1940, in Columbus, OH. He was raised by his aunt and uncle, Lucille and Murl Glass, in Logan, OH. While attending Logan High School he met Beverly Bigham, who would become his wife of 61 years.
Harvey attended Ohio State University and worked professionally as an Engineer for Western Electric/AT&T. His job took him from Columbus, OH, to Littleton, CO, then to St. Louis, MO. Upon retirement, he and Beverly moved to Ocala.
Harvey was an extremely outgoing man. He could strike up a conversation with anyone about anything. Due to his kind and social nature, Harvey had many hobbies and interests. He became a hot air balloon pilot. He was an active member of The Sons of Union Veterans; holding many camp offices and eventually becoming Commander for the Florida Department. While attending OSU, he was a member of the ROTC Rifle team, which led to a lifetime of interest in firearms.
Harvey had a passion for history. He was a member of the 1st New Jersey Light Artillery cannon crew, attending numerous Civil War reenactments. He also taught Marion County students in local high schools and during Ocali Days about life during the Civil War.
Harvey will be missed dearly and remembered fondly by his family and friends.
Harvey is preceded in passing by his beloved wife, Beverly Linscott, and their son, Brian Keith Linscott.
Harvey is survived by his two loving daughters; Lori (Phil) Rasey and Janine (Leo) Radkowski, as well as his grandchildren: Daniel, Kevin, Nicole, Leo and Patrick, and eight precious grandchildren: Grey, Summit, Cambria, Acadia, Gwynn, Ozzie, Zay and Chanel.
