Charles Henry Brown

Charles Henry Brown, 92, of Belleview, Florida, passed away on September 23, 2026, in Summerfield.

Charles was born in Belleview, Florida to John Henry Brown and Susie Brown Carter. He graduated from Ocala High School. He married Dorothy Dotzler on December 17, 1961, in Belleview, Florida.

He served his country for three years in the U.S. Army followed by 24 and 1/2 years in the US Air Force. He was a member of his local American Legion. He was a treasurer for the Belleview/South Marion Historical Society. He enjoyed landscaping, being outside, animals, and for some time, he raised goats.

Charles is preceded in death by his father, John H. Brown, his mother, Susie Carter, his brothers, John L. Brown, and Robert Carter.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Dot) Brown, sons Charles E. Brown (Marie), James Brown (Linda), grandson, Grant Brown, great grandson, Ian Brown, his sister, Eula Dodd, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation service will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 10:00 AM-11:00AM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services 5946 SE Robinson Road, Belleview, FL. A funeral service will be same day from 11:00AM-12:00 PM with Pastor Reams. Burial will follow immediately after in Belleview Cemetery at 12:30 PM.
