Jean Carroll Winstanley

March 6, 1935 — June 2, 2026

Jean Carroll Winstanley entered this world on March 6, 1935, in Oldham, England, and peacefully departed it on June 2, 2026, at the age of 91.

Jean shared an extraordinary love story with her beloved husband, Kenneth George Winstanley, who preceded her in death in 2024. Together they were married for 69 years, building a life defined by devotion, hard work, adventure, and family. In 1963, Ken and Jean immigrated to the United States, settling on Long Island, New York, before making Belleview, Florida their home in 1976. One of their proudest accomplishments was becoming citizens of the United States in 1974, embracing the opportunities and community they found in their adopted country.

Jean was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her children: Carol (Roger) Yeaman of Belleview, Florida; Roy (Helene) Winstanley of New York; Diane (John) Drake of Belleview, Florida; and Keith (Karen) Winstanley of Belleview, Florida. She was preceded in death by her son, Steve Winstanley, and is lovingly remembered by his wife, Lisa.

Her legacy continues through 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, each of whom was blessed by her love, guidance, and unwavering support.

Jean was known throughout the Belleview community for her entrepreneurial spirit, leadership and creativity. She managed Fabric King in Belleview before pursuing her dream of owning her own business, Jean’s Crafts and Supplies, where she shared her passion for crafting and connected with countless friends and customers. Alongside Ken, she also owned and operated Rose Garden Cottages, welcoming visitors with warmth and hospitality.

Life was an adventure for Jean and Ken. Together they traveled extensively, returning often to England to visit family and maintain the ties to their roots. They shared a special love of cruising and completed an astonishing 103 cruises, creating a lifetime of cherished memories while exploring the world side by side.

To know Jean was to know kindness, generosity, resilience, and unconditional love. She never missed an opportunity to support her family, celebrate their accomplishments, or offer a listening ear and a warm smile. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and acceptance, and her presence made those around her feel loved.

Jean was a faithful member of the Belleview United Methodist Church for many years, where she found fellowship, friendship, and spiritual strength.

Though our hearts are heavy with her loss, we find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and in knowing she is reunited with her beloved Ken. Her life was a testament to love, family, faith, and perseverance. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
