Mary Katherine "Kathy" Berkoben, 69 of Ocala, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 27th, 2025.
Kathy was born in Jacksonville, FL to Shirley Perry and Gene Lane on August 4, 1956. She attended Dougherty High School in Albany, GA. She married Robert Berkoben on November 13, 1992 in Naples, FL. She enjoyed Bible study, spending time with her beloved family & pets and making friends wherever she went. Kathy is preceded in death by her Mother Shirley Hoover, her brother Michael Hoover as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents. Kathy is survived by her husband: Robert Berkoben, her children: Mickey James, Kimberly Llewellyn (James Llewellyn), Tracey McCaulley (Devon McCaulley) and her grandchildren: Sarah James, Angelica Castillo, Michaela McCaulley, Dakota "Dak" McCaulley, her brothers: Stephen Lane (Mary Lane), John Hoover and her adored dog, Lulu. Service will be held at Belleview Cemetery at 11:30 AM on December 4th, 2025. Arrangements are by Hiers-Baxley of Belleview. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the many caring health professionals at Ocala Family Medical Center, The Oncology Floor at Advent Health of Ocala and Grace Davis Hall Hospice House. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: Chase Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservancy (www.ChaseSanctuary.org) as animals, especially sloths, were near and dear to her heart. May the good Lord be with you down every road you roam, and may sunshine and happiness surround you when you're far from home, and may you grow to be proud, dignified and true and do unto others as you'd have done to you.
