Caylee Nicole Powell

Sep 28, 1995 — Oct 23, 2026

Caylee Nicole Powell, 31, of Ocala, Florida, affectionately known as “Kiwi”, finished her race and entered into Glory on October 23, 2026, after a courageous three-and-a-half-year battle with glioblastoma. Her final days were spent surrounded by the family and friends she loved dearly.

Born on September 28, 1995, in Dalton, Georgia, Caylee spent her early childhood in California before relocating to Florida with her family, at the age of nine. As a teenager she served faithfully in the children’s ministry at Meadowbrook Church in Ocala.

From her youth, Caylee brought joy and energy to everything she did. In high school, she was an outstanding cheerleader, remembered by many for her breathtaking, unforgettable smile that truly lit up any room she entered. That same warmth and dedication carried into her professional life, where she worked passionately in the dental field for five years.

On December 1, 2018, Caylee married the love of her life, Chandler Powell. Together, they built a beautiful life rooted in love, laughter, and deepest companionship. Caylee’s heart belonged completely to her husband, her cherished dogs, and her family. She found peace and happiness in traveling, in the serenity of the mountains, shared countless memories with her close friends, and cheered passionately at Orlando City Soccer games. Through every season, the music of Taylor Swift provided the perfect soundtrack to a life beautifully lived.

Caylee leaves behind a lasting legacy of kindness, grace, and unmatched strength. She fought her battle like a true warrior, inspiring everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her community, friends, and loving family.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Chandler Powell; her loving parents, Angel and Nicole Garcia; her brother, Chris (Mahayla) Garcia; and her sister, Cassie Garcia. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Ann LaRue; her father-in-law, Keith Powell; her brothers-in-law, Bradley (Heather) Powell and Nicholas (Jenna) Powell; her grandparents, John and Dottie Lane, and Lupe Figueroa; as well as several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and her beloved dogs, Otto and Benji.

Caylee was joyfully greeted in Heaven by her precious son, Lincoln; her grandfather, Ruben “Papi” Figueroa; her "Memaw", Joann Rutkoski; and her beloved dog, Ralph.
