Donald Milam
Sep 12, 1969 — Sep 13, 2025
Donald Milam, 56, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on September 13, 2025, in Largo, Florida. Donald was a man of many passions and talents. As a dedicated business owner and operator, he built a life around his love for helping others. He spent years as a tow truck driver, automotive instructor, and technician, using his expertise to teach and inspire. His love for adventure and speed led him to become an open water diver and a devoted open-wheel modified and sportsman racecar driver. Whether on the water, behind the wheel, or with a wrench in hand, Donald approached everything with enthusiasm and an unshakable commitment to excellence. He was also a devoted boater and beach lover, finding peace in the rhythm of the waves and the beauty of the open ocean. Music was another of Donald’s great loves, and he found joy in its ability to connect people and express emotions that words alone could not.
Donald was a loyal friend, and his vibrant personality and generous spirit drew people to him wherever he went. He was blessed with a wide circle of friends, all of whom knew him as someone they could rely on, laugh with, and trust unconditionally. He valued the relationships in his life deeply, and he loved spending time with those he cared about, creating memories and sharing in the joy of life’s simple pleasures.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Grimes, and his uncle, Dennis Dickard.
Donald leaves behind his beloved wife, Barbara Sheats of Ocala, Florida; his daughters, Destiny McClure (Prattville, Alabama), Alexis Mellor (Port Richey, Florida), and Sydney Sheats (Port Richey, Florida); his son, Anthony Milam (Ocala, Florida); and his cherished grandchildren, Presley, Maeven, Leland, and Dorothea.
Though he will be deeply missed, Donald’s legacy of love, friendship, and adventure will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
