Dora Fabian
May 27, 1963 — Aug 8, 2026
Dora Fabian, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on May 27, 1963, in Orange Lake, Florida, Dora was a woman whose kindness, thoughtfulness, and joyful spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Dora attended Reddick High School and built a beautiful life centered around the people she loved most—her family. Her greatest joy was bringing happiness to others. She had a special way of putting a smile on someone's face, whether through a silly joke, a warm plate of homemade food, or simply by being there when she was needed.
She treasured the celebrations that brought her family together. Dora especially loved Easter, birthdays, and baking cakes for the people she loved. She had a special affection for Winnie the Pooh and Disney characters, reflecting the playful and joyful spirit she carried throughout her life.
Her grandchildren held an especially precious place in her heart. Dora made it a priority to be present for their special moments at school, cheer them on at their sporting events, and celebrate their accomplishments. She was often behind the camera, capturing those treasured moments so they could be remembered for years to come. Her love was expressed not only in words, but in the countless memories she made with her family.
Dora leaves behind her devoted husband, Jose Fabian; her children, Christina Mata, Melissa Cervantes, Jose Fabian Jr., and Alberto Fabian; and her twelve grandchildren, Cecilia, Dora (Arely), Marco, Jovanni, Adrian, Fernando, Juan, Benjamin, Johan, Ezio, Jardani, and soon-to-arrive baby JJ. She will also be lovingly remembered by countless extended family members and friends whose lives she brightened with her warmth and generosity.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfredo and Eleanor (Gutierrez) Arredondo; her sister, Delia Arredondo; and her brother, Alfredo (Freddie) Arredondo.
Though Dora will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that her love, laughter, kindness, recipes, photographs, and cherished traditions will continue through the generations. The memories she created and the love she gave so freely will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hiers-Baxley Downtown. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Memorial Park.
Dora's life was a gift to her family and all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, family togetherness, and countless beautiful memories. May her memory always bring a smile—the very thing she spent her life giving to others.
