Jefferson Richard Lankford

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jefferson Richard Lankford, known fondly as Jeff, who left us on April 15, 2026, at the age of 44. Born on December 29, 1981, in Tampa, FL, Jeff was a bright light in the lives of his family and friends.

Jeff attended Forest High School, graduating in 2000, and attended Santa Fe Community College. He spent his career in the hospitality industry, where his kindness and loyalty were evident in every interaction. Always the sensitive soul, Jeff had a knack for making those around him feel special and valued.

A true fan at heart, Jeff loved following the Tampa Bay Bucs and the Florida Gators, passionately cheering them on from wherever he was. He cherished his days at the beach, boating, and playing golf, activities that brought him immense joy and created countless memories with his loved ones.

Jeff is preceded in death by his brother, Jeremy Lankford, and is survived by his devoted parents, Mary and Rick Lankford, loving girlfriend, Kelly Miller, along with a loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. In keeping with his spirit, there will be no services held. Instead, the family encourages everyone to honor his memory by making a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Jeff will always be remembered for his kind heart and loyal nature. He touched the lives of many, and his memory will continue to live on in each of us.
